Tourism Cares about Angel Island

Over three hundred volunteers from the tourism industry arrived bright and early Friday morning and began work making Angel Island an even more beautiful place. The “hard days work” was organized by Tourism Cares, a non-profit organization that works to preserve historic sites around the United States through donations and the hard work of hundreds of volunteers. The day began with a ferry ride from San Francisco and ended with a barbeque on the lawn of the visitors center. The island simply sparkles—come see for yourself!

Angel Island Live

Angel Island Live Music

Free live music is returning to the deck of the Cove Cafe this summer. We are so delighted to have sponsorship from Lagunitas Brewery from Petaluma and to be serving up Hog Island Oysters in the Cantina. The music line-up is looking great – starting with the The California Honeydrops on June 12th from 2-5. These guys have so much energy and I expect the deck to be hopping with lots of dancing fun.

The California Honeydrops embrace the traditions of Blues, Gospel, Second Line New Orleans Jazz, and early R&B.

With stellar performances of traditional material as well as their own innovative music, they get people out of their seats and onto the floor, dancing and singing along.”
